Canaries
Fuerteventura is one the Canary Islands most spectacular wonders. With over three thousand hours of sunshine a year and more than one hundred and fifty beaches is it a naturally peaceful environment to rest your soul. The island offers the full array of water sport activities and it is at an area of 1660sq.km the second largest island of the canaries.
Gran Canaria is a continent in miniature, which offers lush forests, exotic fauna and flora, sahara like dunes, mountains, volcanic craters, sometimes snow on the highest peaks, the most dynamic capital city in the Canaries, incredibly beautiful coastlines and spectacular beaches at an area of 1.532sq.km.
Tenerife is the largest Canarian island, with an area of 2.057sq.km. The island rose up 6 Million years ago, caused by volcanic activity. Tenerife has a various vegetation, with many types of plants, that are only endemic at the Canaries or even only at the island. At no other offshore place of the world are so many whales resided.
La Gomera has an area of 378sq.km and has nearly 22.000 inhabitants. The island has on its high plateau the largest still connected laurel wood of the earth. In the flat areas of the costal region are growing bananas, but the small but tasty fruits are not intend to sell them at the european market.
La Palma has an area of 729sq.km and hosts 85.252 inhabitants and 3.000 – 10.000 tourists per year. The island is, like all Canarian islands, from volcanic origin. Their age is relatively young with approximately three million years. Due to its emergence and situation, La Palma offers a unique nature and landscape.
El Hierro is the most western and the smallest of the Canarian islands at 287 sq.km. In the 19. Century uncomfortable politicians, military and free spirits were banished on this isle. Up to the discovery of America in the 15. Century, El Hierro was considered as the outermost end of the western world.
Alegranza is a small Canarian island in the Chinijo archipelago, situated northern from Lanzarote. The island is uninhabited, stands - like the entire archipelago - under nature protection and offers refuge to a large number of birds.
La Graciosa is an island, which belongs to the Canaries at the atlantic ocean and has an area of 27sq.km. The principal place of the island is Caleta del Sebo with 637 inhabitants. The climate on La Graciosa is the whole year mild and pleasant.
Montaña Clara is a small island, that belonges to the Canarian islands and to the Chinijo archipelago. The island is uninhabited and consists of a rock with a caldron.
The island Los Lobos (island of the monk seals) is part of the Canarian islands. The uninhabited island has only 6 sq.km and was 1982 declared as Parque Natural.
Roque del Este is a small island of the Canarian islands and belongs to the Chinijo archipelago. The only 0.06 km ² large isle is located 12 kilometers in northeast direction from Lanzarote. It is a volcano rising up steeply out of the sea.
The only 0.015 km ² large, and 41 meters high rock Roque del Oeste rises directly out of the water. It is also called Roque del Infierno (hell rock), because of the danger for the navigation of the ships.

Auf der Rugard-Bühne in Rügens Inselhauptstadt Bergen, übrigens eine ehemalige Slawenburg, steht im Monat August der erste Rügener Musical Sommer und ein Live-Konzert mit dem Superstar der deutschen Schlagerbranche – Matthias Reim – auf dem Programm. Zwischen Sommer, Sonne und Ostseestrand ist vom 1. bis 12. August erstmalig ein „Best of“ unter dem Titel Rügener Musical Sommer in der einmaligen Atmosphäre der Rugard-Bühne in Bergen erleben. An zehn Abenden, jeweils um 20 Uhr, verwandelt sich die Freilichtbühne in eine wunderbare Welt aus Show, Tanz und Musik. Ein traumhafter Abend mit eindrucksvollen und natürlich live gesungenen Songs aus den bekanntesten und beliebtesten Musicals, wie König der Löwen, Dirty Dancing, ABBA, Cats, Queen und vielen anderen, erwartet das Publikum. Somit kann man sich auf bekannte Melodien wie „Can you feel the love tonight“ und „Hakuna Matata“, „Time of my life“, „Dancing Queen“ und „Super Trouper“ freuen. Gesungen werden alle Stücke von professionellen Darstellern aus großen Musical-Produktionen, die sich durch grandiose Stimmen und hervorragendes schauspielerisches sowie tänzerisches Können auszeichnen. Am 11. August um 20 Uhr gibt es als Zwischendurch-Highlight das grandiose Live-Konzert mit Matthias Reim, einem der beliebtesten deutschen Schlagersänger.
