Agersø or Agersö is a Danish island between Smålandshavet and the large Belt in front of Seeland. The 684 hectars large island extends 7 km from North to South and 3 km from East to West. The highest point of Agersø is appropriate for 12 m over the sea level. The largest surface of the island is agriculturally used.
Als is a Danish Baltic Sea island. It is surrounded from the small Belt in the east, the Alsensund in the west and the Flensburger Förde in the south. Als is the seventh-largest island of Denmark.
Amager is a 95 sq.km large island in the Öresund. Over it are extending, a part of the city Copenhagen (Christianshavn) and the two municipalities Tårnby with the airport Kastrup and Dragør. Since 2000 the Öresundbridge from Amager leads to Malmö in Sweden. Thus the island possesses a central meaning for international traffic.
Anholt is a 23 sq.km large Danish island in the Kattegat. On it are living 155 humans. The island is divided by a flat area of the south to the east into nearly two parts. Most holiday-makers come from Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Germany.
Årø or Aarö is a Danish island in the small Belt. It is by the 750 m wide Aarösund seperated from the mainland and is 4 km long and 3 km wide. It belonged until 1919 to Schleswig-Holstein in Germany.
Ærø is a Baltic Sea island of Denmark. It is suitable well for moving and bicycle driving and has relatively lonely bath beaches. Anglers estimate this island just like artists.
Askø or Askö is a Danish island in the “Smålandshavet” and is situated in the North of the island Lolland. The island has a size of 280 hectares and is constantly inhabited by 56 inhabitants. On the island there are approximately 200 summer houses.
Avernakø or Avernakö is a Danish island in the “Danish South Seas”, in the south of Fünen. Avernakø belongs to the Danish small islands, to the group of the “Danske Småøerne”. There is a ferry connection to Faaborg (Southfünen) and to Lyø. Avernakø has 5.9 sq.km and 110 inhabitants.
Baagø, Bågø or Baagö is a Danish island in the small Belt. The island Baagø is appropriate in the Danish office Fünen, in the west of the island Fünen . There is a regular ferry connection to Assens on Fünen. Baagø belongs to the “Danish small islands”, to the group of the “Danske Småøerne”. Baagø is for a very long time inhabited. The first lighthouse of the island was established in 1705.
Barsø is a Danish island, close to the Schleswig mainland and about 12 km in the northeast of the city Apenrade. Particularly in the summer the extremely nature-beautiful island is gladly visited. The information and natural history center Barsøcentret is served also as school land home.
Bornholm is with its second island Christiansø the most eastern island of Denmark. The Baltic Sea island is situated between Schonen and Eastern Pomerania, for about 150 km in the southeast of Copenhagen.
The Pea Islands (Danish Ertholmene) are an archipelago consisting of Christiansø, Frederiksø, Græsholm and smaller rocks and are situated at the Baltic Sea, 18 kilometers in the northeast of Bornholm. These Baltic Sea islands are forming the most eastern point of Denmark.
Drejø or Drejö is a Danish island in the “Danish South Sea”, in the south of Fünen. There is a ferry connection from the south port to Svendborg on Fünen. The island has a surface of 4,3 sq.km and 69 inhabitants.
Endelave is a Danish island in the Kattegat, in the north of Fünen and about 10 km away from the mainland. Their size amounts to 13,2 sq.km. The island can be attained by ferry from Snaptun (east Jutland).
Falster is 514 sq.km large island with 43.364 inhabitants. Over 40% of the inhabitants are living in Nykøbing Falster. Generally one speaks of Lolland & Falster , since the islands are closely connected with each other. There is a 20 km long sandy beach for bathing in the southeast of the island Falster. This is very child friendly, because it drops flat into the water.
The Danish island Fanø is located in the North Sea in the west in front of Jutland. On the 56 sq.km of the island are living 3.143 inhabitants. The island Fanø is the most northern of the north Friesian chain of islands and is situated in about 50 km in the north of Sylt. The next larger city is the industrial and port city Esbjerg, which belongs to Jutland. A ferry connects Fanø with Esbjerg.
Fejø or Fejö is a Danish island in the “Smålandshavet”, situated in the north of the island Lolland. The yachting port of the island is particularly in the summer months a popular goal of many leisure dump trucks. There is a ferry connection to Kragenaes, the passage takes 15 minutes.
Femø or Femö is a Danish island at the "Smålandshavet", located in the north of the island Lolland. The island has a yachting port and a private runway for small airplanes at the “FEMØ KRO & course center”. There is a ferry connection to Kragenaes, the passage takes 50 minutes.
Fur (ancient: Fuur) is one about 22 square kilometers large island with approximately 900 inhabitants in the Limfjord, in the north of Jutland (Denmark). From the mainland (Salling) one reaches Fur in three minutes with a ferry over the 400 m broad Fursund. In the south Fur it is flat and rises gently northward to the cliff.
Fünen (Danish: Fyn) is with 2975 sq.km the second largest island of Denmark, behind Seeland (apart from Greenland). It is centrally located and beside Seeland with 447.060 inhabitants (1 January 2006) one of the centres in economic, traffic-technical and cultural regard. Fünen is situated between the small and the large Belt.
Hjortø or Hjortö is a Danish island in the “Danish South Sea” in the south of Fünen. There are 13 (2006) inhabitants on the island, which has also a small yachting port. It has a ferry connection to Svendborg on Fünen. The ferry for passengers operates one until twice at the day and transports up to 12 persons. The passage takes one hour.
The small Danish island Hesselø is located in the Kattegat and about 28 km in the north of Sjælland. It is 0.7 sq.km largely, with a maximum length of 1,5 km. The island got its name from the sea-dogs (sæl) , which were hunted there in former times and are also today frequent.
Jordsand was a small Danish island in the wadden sea in the south of Rømø and in east of List on Sylt. The name Jord leads itself from the Scandinavian word hjort for „deer “; the component sand refers to the expanded sand bank surfaces, which are surrounding the central ranges.
Læsø, also Laesoe or Vor Frue country is the most northern Kattegat island of Denmark. As total municipality it has 2.091 inhabitants (2006). The island is the most thinly settled municipality of Denmark.
Langeland is a 52 km long, only up to 10 km broad Baltic Sea island in Denmark, which is tied up over a bridge system, which includes the islands Siø and Tåsinge, with Fünen lain in the northwest. Langeland is part of the island world of the so-called Danish South Sea.
Langli is a small march island in the Ho-bay close Esbjerg at the Danish North Sea Coast. It is 0.8 sq.km largely and to reach by a 3 km long “Ebbevej” (tideland way).
Lolland, old name Laaland, is the fourth largest Danish island. It is located in the Baltic Sea in the south of Seeland and in the west of Falster, is 58 km long, 15 - 25 km wide and possesses a surface of 1.243 square kilometers. It has 68.224 inhabitants.
Lyø or Lyö is one into egg-shaped, max. 24 m high Danish Baltic Sea island in the “Danish South Sea" in the south of Fünen. On Lyø there is only one place, which is called Lyø or (Lyø By). It is one of the most beautiful villages of Denmark. Everywhere you can see mouth-blown windowpanes and wood locks in the doors.
Mandø is located at the Danish west coast between the two islands Rømø and Fanø and is part of the North Friesian islands. Mandø is 7.63 sq.km largely and has 56 inhabitants (1 January 2006). Mandø is the only Hallig island of Denmark.
Møn is an island in the Danish part of the Baltic Sea. It belongs to the Storstrøms office. Largest place is Stege at the bay of Stege Nor. In the extreme east of the island is the steep chalk coast Møns Klint, which represents one point of attraction for the tourism. Often Møn is called sister island of Ruegen, because it gives also there chalk rock, and there is in response to the king chair on Ruegen a “Dronningenstolen” - a queen chair.
Mors is an island in Jutland. In the east it borders on the Limfjord, in the west on several bent widths (Bredning) and Sunde. The highest rising (Salgerhøj) is 87 m high.
Ox islands are two small Danish islands in the Flensburger Förde in front of the place Sønderhav. The larger island is inhabited of 3 constant inhabitants, the smaller Lille Okseø is uninhabited. In addition to that, they are an ideal anchorage for sport boats, there is a small port.
Omø or Omö is a Danish island between Smålandshavet and the large Belt in front of Seeland. The island is visited in the summer months by many tourists. Particularly the yachting port is a popular destination.
Peberholm (Danish name: Peberholm; literally: “Pepper in moose”), an artificial island is located in the Öresund, the strait between Denmark and Sweden (belongs to Denmark). It was formed during the building of the Öresundbridge at the excavation of the excavator work on the sea-bottom of the Öresund.
Rømø is a Danish North Sea island, in the north of Sylt. It belongs to the North Friesian islands. It is 129 sq.km largely and accommodates 677 inhabitants (1 January 2006). Rømø is a tourism island. There is a road connection over a dam to the mainland and a ferry connection to Sylt.
Saltholm is an island in the Öresund in the west of Amager, Denmark. It is a bird protected area. On the island are living three humans, who work for the nature protection. The island is very flat, with a maximum height of five meters, on which the house stands. Large parts of the island can be flooded at high tides.
Samsø is a Danish island in the Kattegat, in the north of Fünen. As total municipality it has 4.124 inhabitants (2006) and is 114 sq.km largely. Due to its central situation the island was used in the time of the vikings as meeting place. From this time the name of the island originates.
Sejerø or Sejerö is a Danish island in the Kattegat, in front of Seeland, in the north of Kalundborg. On the island are living constantly 400 inhabitants. The island of the Seelandian Havnsø is attainable by ferry; the passage takes 1 hour.
Seeland (Danish Sjælland) is the largest Baltic Sea island of Denmark in the east of the country. It is the main island of Denmark.Together with the second largest island Fünen and the continental-European peninsula Jutland it is the economical, political, cultural, population and transport point of the country.
The few well-known island Tornø with three inhabitants is situated in the Odensefjord, in the northeast of the Danish island Fyn. It is connected by a 300 m long dam with Fyn. The only about the half square kilometer large island is in private property and is agriculturally used.
Tunø is a small, 352 hectars large Danish island. It is situated between the island Samsø and the Jutlandian mainland and belongs to the municipality Odder in the Århus office. The island, on which you can do a 7 km long round way , is almost completely under nature protection.
Vejrø belongs to the small islands in the south Danish Smålandsfairway (Smålandsfarvandet) between Seeland, Fünen and Lolland. The island is in private property, for Sailors is it however accessible. Vejrø covers a surface of only 1.6 sq.km. It exists a large, unaffected nature.

Auf der Rugard-Bühne in Rügens Inselhauptstadt Bergen, übrigens eine ehemalige Slawenburg, steht im Monat August der erste Rügener Musical Sommer und ein Live-Konzert mit dem Superstar der deutschen Schlagerbranche – Matthias Reim – auf dem Programm. Zwischen Sommer, Sonne und Ostseestrand ist vom 1. bis 12. August erstmalig ein „Best of“ unter dem Titel Rügener Musical Sommer in der einmaligen Atmosphäre der Rugard-Bühne in Bergen erleben. An zehn Abenden, jeweils um 20 Uhr, verwandelt sich die Freilichtbühne in eine wunderbare Welt aus Show, Tanz und Musik. Ein traumhafter Abend mit eindrucksvollen und natürlich live gesungenen Songs aus den bekanntesten und beliebtesten Musicals, wie König der Löwen, Dirty Dancing, ABBA, Cats, Queen und vielen anderen, erwartet das Publikum. Somit kann man sich auf bekannte Melodien wie „Can you feel the love tonight“ und „Hakuna Matata“, „Time of my life“, „Dancing Queen“ und „Super Trouper“ freuen. Gesungen werden alle Stücke von professionellen Darstellern aus großen Musical-Produktionen, die sich durch grandiose Stimmen und hervorragendes schauspielerisches sowie tänzerisches Können auszeichnen. Am 11. August um 20 Uhr gibt es als Zwischendurch-Highlight das grandiose Live-Konzert mit Matthias Reim, einem der beliebtesten deutschen Schlagersänger.
