Île de Batz is an island in the north section of the Finistère in the French region Brittany, in the face of Roscoff. It belongs to the circle Saint pole de Léon in the Arrondisment Morlaix. It forms the municipality of the same name Île de Batz. There is a beautiful camping site directly at the sea, a youth hostel, a hotel, a restaurant, a bicycle rental business, shops, baker's shops etc. the island is touristic opened, but did not overflow.
Bark - Ile - en - Mer (older way of writing: Bark Isle) is situated in the south of Lorient and is the largest of the Brittany islands. The island belongs to the Département Morbihan, is 87 sq.km largely and had 1876 11.000 inhabitants. It is surrounded by rocks, inside however rich at fruitful feasting and field.
The Ile de Bréhat is an island in the French section Côtes d'Armor at the north coast of Brittany. The brittany name of the island is Enez Vriad. The Ile de Bréhat is a large tourist attraction. Ship round travels are offered, on which you can admire the varied coast and the numerous small islands beside.
Ile de Cavallo belongs to an archipelago between Corsica and Sardinia, consisting of 100 small islands and granite reefs. In the vacation season daily a boat drives from the Corsian mainland (Piantarella) to the famous five star hotel and restaurant of the Pecheurs on the Île de Cavallo.
Hoëdic is a small granite island in the gulf of Morbihan, southern Brittany. It is 3 km long and between 0,7 and 1 km wide. It has a surface of 203 hectars, the highest collection is appropriate for 18 m over the sea level. The island possesses only one settlement, which is threatened by shifting sand dunes, and a port, Port Neuf.
Château d'If is a fortress on the Île d'If, a tiny rock island, only a few nautical miles in front of the coast of Marseille. The island is populated of numerous sea gulls, which defend there their clutches of eggs very vehement in the time from March until April.
Île Lavezzi belongs to an archipelago between Corsica and Sardinia, consisting of 100 small islands and granite reefs. The island ranks thereby among the most southern point of France in Europe and is appropriate for only about 4 km from the Corsian mainland, more exactly from the Pointe de Sperono, far away.
The Îles de Lérins are an archipelago in front of the Southern French coast near Cannes, consisting of the three islands Sainte Marguerite, Saint Honorat and Saint Ferréol. The island Sainte Marguerite is famous as prison for the man with the iron mask.
Ile du Levant is an island in the Mediterranean Sea in front of the French coast near Toulon. It is situated beside the island Port - Cros and is the most eastern of the three islands of the archipelago Iles d'Hyères. The island is attainable with the ferry from Hyères and Le Lavandou.
Molène is situated in front of the west coast of Brittany. The clearly larger island Ouessant is located 8 kilometers further northwest. The sea-area around the island with their numerous smaller and uninhabited neighbour islands as well as around Ouessant is since 1988 one of the UNESCO proven sea-biosphere reservation.
The Mont - Saint - Michel is a rocky island in the wadden sea at the delta of the Couesnon, about 1 km in front of the coast of the Normandy, close to Avranches and the border to Brittany.
The Ile de Noirmoutier is a French Atlantic island, which belongs to the region Pays de la Loire in west France, situated in the south of the mouth of the Loire, close to Fromentine and has scarcely 10.000 inhabitants. The half of them are living in the principal place Noirmoutier - en - l'Ile.
The Ile d'Oléron is considered as the second largest French island and is situated in the Atlantic ocean. It belongs to the section Charente - maritime and to the region Poitou - Charentes. It is also called “the island of the mimosa”.
The Ile de Porquerolles is the largest island of the archipelago of Hyères (Iles of d'Hyères and/or Iles d'or). It is situated in front of the French Mediterranean coast in the range of the Côte d'Azur in close proximity to Toulon.
Port - Cros is one of the main islands of the archipelago Îles d'Hyères lain in the Mediterranean Sea. The islands belongs to France, and is situated only a few kilometers in the front of the Southern French coast (Côte D' Azur). On Port - Cros is the national park of the same name.
The Ile de Ré, (in former times: Ile de Rhé), is an island at the French west coast in face of La Rochelle. It is called by the island inhabitants and tourists also affectionately „Ré la Blanche “, thus „Ré the white one “. In the north of Ars-en-Ré extends a large bird protection area, the Réserve naturelle de Lilleau des Niges.
The Ile de Sein is an island in the section Finistère (France). The inhabitants of the island call themselves Sénans. With some neighbouring small islands it forms the municipality Ile de Sein. It belongs to the most beautiful villages of France. The island and its environment are in the meantime a nature park, not at least due to the sea-birds breeding here.
The Ile d'Yeu is a French island in the Atlantic. It is situated in a distance of approximately 20 km in front of the coast of the Vendée. The isle with a surface of 23 sq.km is the furthest Atlantic island removed from the French mainland. Main source of income of that approximately 4,800 inhabitants are the tourism and (today only to the small extent) fishing. Capital and ferry harbour of the island is Port - Joinville.

Auf der Rugard-Bühne in Rügens Inselhauptstadt Bergen, übrigens eine ehemalige Slawenburg, steht im Monat August der erste Rügener Musical Sommer und ein Live-Konzert mit dem Superstar der deutschen Schlagerbranche – Matthias Reim – auf dem Programm. Zwischen Sommer, Sonne und Ostseestrand ist vom 1. bis 12. August erstmalig ein „Best of“ unter dem Titel Rügener Musical Sommer in der einmaligen Atmosphäre der Rugard-Bühne in Bergen erleben. An zehn Abenden, jeweils um 20 Uhr, verwandelt sich die Freilichtbühne in eine wunderbare Welt aus Show, Tanz und Musik. Ein traumhafter Abend mit eindrucksvollen und natürlich live gesungenen Songs aus den bekanntesten und beliebtesten Musicals, wie König der Löwen, Dirty Dancing, ABBA, Cats, Queen und vielen anderen, erwartet das Publikum. Somit kann man sich auf bekannte Melodien wie „Can you feel the love tonight“ und „Hakuna Matata“, „Time of my life“, „Dancing Queen“ und „Super Trouper“ freuen. Gesungen werden alle Stücke von professionellen Darstellern aus großen Musical-Produktionen, die sich durch grandiose Stimmen und hervorragendes schauspielerisches sowie tänzerisches Können auszeichnen. Am 11. August um 20 Uhr gibt es als Zwischendurch-Highlight das grandiose Live-Konzert mit Matthias Reim, einem der beliebtesten deutschen Schlagersänger.
