Ameland is one of the West Friesian islands at the North Sea. The island is a popular goal for school trips. Beside the group accommodations there are four large camping sites, some hotels and a multiplicity of holiday - apartements at the island.
Griend is a nowadays uninhabited island at the West Friesian Wadden Sea, about 18 kilometers eastern from the dutch island Vlieland away. On the flat island numerous kinds of sea-birds breed. Griend is today a dutch nature protected area.
Rottumeroog, briefly also Rottum, is the most eastern and the smallest of the West Friesian islands and is uninhabited. Rottumeroog is at the present still about 250 hectares largely, but will get continuously smaller and threats to disappear.
Schiermonnikoog is one of the West Friesian islands. With 16 to 4 kilometers it is the smallest of the five inhabited dutch “Wadden islands”. It counts only 997 inhabitants. Today Schiermonnikoog is a popular, poor of traffic vacation island. It praises itself to have the broadest edge of bathing in Europe.
Schouwen Duiveland is a 34.491 inhabitants counting municipality in the dutch province Zeeland. The island has an area of 301 square kilometers.
The island Terschelling, belonging to the Netherlands, is one of the six West Friesian islands. Terschelling is situated in front of the Netherlands North Sea coast. Concerning flora and fauna, Terschelling is one of the richest Wadden islands.
Texel is a North Sea island at the dutch province north Holland. The island is the largest and most western of the West Friesian islands. Caused of its varied landscape is it a popular tourism goal.
The island Vlieland belongs to the Netherlands and is one of the six West Friesian islands.
Vlieland has a size of 4.022 hectars. The island had a number of inhabitants of 1.133 in January 2005. The beach length amounts to 12 km and the cycle track net has a length of 26 km.

Auf der Rugard-Bühne in Rügens Inselhauptstadt Bergen, übrigens eine ehemalige Slawenburg, steht im Monat August der erste Rügener Musical Sommer und ein Live-Konzert mit dem Superstar der deutschen Schlagerbranche – Matthias Reim – auf dem Programm. Zwischen Sommer, Sonne und Ostseestrand ist vom 1. bis 12. August erstmalig ein „Best of“ unter dem Titel Rügener Musical Sommer in der einmaligen Atmosphäre der Rugard-Bühne in Bergen erleben. An zehn Abenden, jeweils um 20 Uhr, verwandelt sich die Freilichtbühne in eine wunderbare Welt aus Show, Tanz und Musik. Ein traumhafter Abend mit eindrucksvollen und natürlich live gesungenen Songs aus den bekanntesten und beliebtesten Musicals, wie König der Löwen, Dirty Dancing, ABBA, Cats, Queen und vielen anderen, erwartet das Publikum. Somit kann man sich auf bekannte Melodien wie „Can you feel the love tonight“ und „Hakuna Matata“, „Time of my life“, „Dancing Queen“ und „Super Trouper“ freuen. Gesungen werden alle Stücke von professionellen Darstellern aus großen Musical-Produktionen, die sich durch grandiose Stimmen und hervorragendes schauspielerisches sowie tänzerisches Können auszeichnen. Am 11. August um 20 Uhr gibt es als Zwischendurch-Highlight das grandiose Live-Konzert mit Matthias Reim, einem der beliebtesten deutschen Schlagersänger.
